A very exciting Geneva photo shoot

Some of you may recall the giddyness that surrounded an announcement just before New Year that we had been booked to go to Geneva for a family photo shoot. Mandy is a past client of ours, and when the phone call came asking if we would be prepared to fly out to Geneva to do the shoot, we thought about it – for a nano second – and then agreed.  The 30th December was suggested as it would be  nice and snowy. Beats Chorleywood any day!!

We had been reliably informed from everyone that Geneva would be absolutely freezing at that time of year, and very snowy.  However, when we landed, it was actually warmer in Geneva than in the UK, and a lot foggier with no sign of snow – anywhere!! Still, I couldn’t exactly turn round and go home again so we had to make the best of the unseasonal warm and foggy weather in Geneva!!

After being met at the airport, we took a 10 minute tram ride to their very striking apartment, which is right in the heart of the City, and started off by taking some photos of the boys just chilling out on the sofa and on the balcony, which had great light.

After some shots at home, we ventured outside where we stopped at a nearby playground where they had the most fabulous graffiti wall!

We then headed to the most amazing Fondue restaurant for lunch, where we had a tomato and cheese fondue (think cheesy beans on toast!!) and met Andy who had managed to escape from the office for a bit.

After lunch we made our way down to the Jet d’Eau, which, even on a very foggy day, looked very impressive.

Lake Geneva (or Lake Léman) has a man made beach, which, on a clear day (catchphrase of the day!!) has amazing views over to the mountains – apparently!! I love these next set of photos, which were taken on the beach….

We then took a tram to the other side of the City as Andy needed to get back to work.  When we left him, we turned the corner and saw another fantastic graffiti wall, which was just crying out to be photographed!

After a very long day of shooting around the City we then headed back to the apartment where these last shots were taken in the courtyard just outside.

A massive thanks to Mandy and Andy for allowing me to go out to Geneva to photograph their beautiful family.  I am only sorry that the weather wasn’t as we had hoped.

I had an absolutely amazing time, and have seen what an beautiful place Geneva is, even in thick fog!! I hope you have enjoyed the photos.
